Dan Prolago
Guitar/Mandolin/ Harmonica/Lead Vocals - Dan has been playing music
since the age of six. His musical career has taken him through
several acts before founding The Big Sky Project. Dan has given hundreds
of live performances. As a teenager and younger performer he entered and
won several talent contests throughout Ohio. In 2003 he had a television
interview with WTOV9 for a benefit performance, has had write ups in
several newspapers throughout Ohio including The Springfield Newspaper,
The Herald Star, the Other Paper, and the Blues Paper. Dan has also performed
regionally in Ohio, West Virginia, Kentucky, and North Carolina and on the
same stages as John Lee Hooker, Kenny Wayne Shepard, Marshall Tucker, Jack Cassidy,
and David Allen Coe. He continues to write record, and perform.
Sam Manzella
Bass/Backing Vocals - Sam's enthusiasm for song writing and
music in general has contributed a lot to the development of the
band. Sam's melodic styling glues the backbeat to the harmonies
with a thick warm drive. His backing vocals can be heard
throughout the band's songs and adds an additional harmonic
layer to their sound. Sam's style and presence in the mix is
influenced by bass players such as John Paul Jones, Andy Fraser,
and many artists from various ethnical and epochal ranges.
Matt Hopkins
Percussionist - Matt Hopkins is an explosive and subtle percussionist
that joined T.B.S.P. in June of 2008. He has live performance experience;
with Little Hercules in the western states and several other artists and
acts in the Midwest. He has played several venues including Fox Theatre
in Colorado and several others throughout Columbus Oh including Ruby Tuesday,
The Thirsty Ear, and Skully's. Matt Can also be seen performing with several
local acts and artists in festivals and venues throughout central Ohio. His
versatility and style knows no limits.
